What’s been happening?

Just like everyone else, we can scarcely believe that we are headed to the festive season! But before we all start planning Christmas parties we want to share the latest news with you.

We welcomed Mark Shadrach to South Africa

Our efforts in South Africa were supported by Mark Shadrach, Business Development Manager from BAS-IP, Ukraine for 3 weeks.

We thoroughly enjoyed learning from him

Thank you to all of you who met with us during Mark’s visit to South Africa. We worked hard but we also played hard and showed Mark some of what South Africa has to offer.

We attended the Unified Solutions Open Day in Wynberg, Cape Town

We spent 2 productive days at the Wynberg Cricket Club as guests of Craig Lewis from Rush Distribution. We made some incredible connections and enjoyed the conversations around system integrations. Our thanks to Craig for this opportunity. We look forward to the next event!

We hit the Gauteng market hard!

We attended the Green Building Convention

We attended the Green Building Convention at the Cape Town International Convention Centre this month. Thank you to the Green Building Council of South Africa for hosting us and for the networking opportunity. We enjoyed connecting with those of you who attended.

Before we go, here are just some of the BAS-IP noteworthy features:

Proximity sensor

Even without external illumination, a visitor won’t need to look for buttons to call.

The AA-12FB panel automatically detects motion nearby and unblocks the screen with a welcome sound.

The next-generation IP Camera

The next-generation IP camera with a wide-angle view transmits an HD quality image to users’ monitors.

Due to the night backlight mode, 6 LEDs help to show a visitor even without any external illumination.

Face Recognition

The panel supports automatic face recognition, which allows you to open the door to a tenant who does not have any key rings or identifiers. It uses 3D facial recognition technology employing several IR sensors and in-depth analysis. Triggered in 0.6 seconds.

Integration with ACS

The panel supports the Wiegand-26 interface, so it can be used as a part of a wider access control system. It offers many ways to unlock:
  • from the monitor
  • via HTTP
  • using a code
  • using a card
  • using the BAS-IP UKEY app (optional)
  • using the BAS-IP Intercom app
  • from the panel web-interface

Due to the night backlight mode, 6 LEDs help to show a visitor even without any external illumination.

UKEY

The panel supports UKEY mobile access to allow for unlocking with a smartphone. You can use standard keychains and cards at the same time.

Learn more about the technology and watch how to apply it in our video overviews.

Open API

Open API allows you to control the functionality of the panel from anywhere in the world, as well as to integrate it with third-party systems.
